NHS England
The National Health Service was set up in 1948 to provide healthcare for all citizens, based on need, not the ability to pay. It is made up of a wide range of health professionals, support workers and organizations. HLI has partnered with the NHS to provide HLI's language engine technology, LE™ for the delivery of enterprise-wide clinical terminology services throughout the National Programme for IT (NPfIT). The NHS has contracted five Local Service Providers (LSPs), covering the London, North East, North West & West Midlands, Southern, and Eastern areas, to deliver services at a local level. Once service is provided at the local level, information is collected through use of a national data spine and then stored in a national data repository, which will be managed by the National Application Service Provider (NASP). HLI's LE technology will be used throughout the NASP and LSPs to facilitate and enrich information being stored in the national repository.
Cerner Corporation

BT
BT is a UK-wide communications solutions provider comprised of several business units. Through these various business units, BT delivers internet access services traditional telephony services, mobile technology, and web-based services to over 20 million customers in the UK. BT is contracted with the NHS to enable national availability of NHS Care Records for use by clinicians, support and other care workers across the range of care environments. Working with the NPfIT, BT is taking the lead as the NASP of the NHS Care Records Service. In this role, BT is providing network infrastructure and web services to allow secure access to clinical data in a standardized format. In partnership with BT, HLI's LE technology is being utilized for the delivery of enterprise-wide clinical terminology services throughout the NPfIT.
