Content
Access and manage 100+ content sets with the HLI terminology management solution.
Health Language (HLI) loads and manages over 100 different terminology content sets, including SNOMED CT, ICD-9, ICD-10, LOINC, CPT, RxNorm, HCPCS, DSM-IV-TR, and many others. HLI supplies Provider Friendly Terminology, Consumer Friendly Terminology, medical specialty subsets, PQRI content (for reporting of Physician Quality Reporting Initiative measures), and other specialized content sets, and can manage local content developed by an organization. HLI also provides many terminology cross-mappings, including ICD-10 maps to assist organizations with the 2013 ICD-10 conversion requirements.

Here are some of the specialized content sets from Health Language:

Provider Friendly Terminology (PFT):

How can you incorporate familiar clinical terms into the EMR to enhance clinician familiarity, usability, comfort, and accuracy?  Health Language has developed a Provider Friendly Terminology (PFT) content set, including problems and procedures, to embed in EMRs and other healthcare IT applications. Vendors of EMRs can use this product to create simple problem list searching within their applications. Hospital systems can leverage this problem list directly and upload it into their local EMRs.

Consumer Friendly Terminology (CFT):

HLI domain expert staff have created over 15,000 consumer-friendly descriptions for ICD-9-CM diagnoses and procedures that help patients better understand these codes. With the Health Language CFT content set, payers, electronic medical record vendors, and other healthcare information technology vendors can display a consumer friendly term whenever an ICD-9-CM code is presented.

PQRI subsets:

Meaningful Use criteria drafted in accordance with the ARRA stimulus mandates the reporting of key measures, including several Physician Quality Reporting Initiatives (PQRI). The Health Language PQRI subsets include all the necessary codes and terms needed to help identify the right patients and conditions for reporting. The HLI Language Engine and PQRI subsets enable fast, accurate, up-to-date reporting of PQRI measures.

Medical specialty subsets:

The Health Language medical specialty subsets are practical and convenient lists that organize terms specific to over 40 medical specialties. To support structured data entry in EMR applications, concepts in these subsets are cross-mapped to ICD-9-CM diagnostic or CPT procedural concepts and their codes. The Health Language medical specialty subsets can present to clinicians billable diagnostic and treatment service codes associated with provider-friendly terms specific to a medical specialty.
